| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Steven Charles "Steve" Snyder of Erie, |
| 4 | | who passed away on December 28, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder was born in Moline to Charles and |
| 6 | | Ann (Feaster) Snyder on August 10, 1956; he lived in many |
| 7 | | places in the U.S., France, and Puerto Rico during his |
| 8 | | father's career in the U.S. Air Force; his family settled in |
| 9 | | Fenton after his father's retirement in 1971; he graduated |
| 10 | | from Erie High School in 1975; he joined the Air Force and |
| 11 | | served in security forces in Florida and South Korea; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder worked security at the Quad City |
| 13 | | nuclear plant and then become a nuclear plant inspector, which |
| 14 | | had him traveling throughout the U.S. and overseas; he retired |
| 15 | | in 2020; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder enjoyed riding horses and Harleys |
| 17 | | and spending time with family and friends; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | parents; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Steve Snyder is survived by his daughter, Brooke |
