| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of William B. Davenport of Havana, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 9, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Davenport was born in Palmyra to Dean and |
| 6 | | Virginia (Bugenhagen) Davenport on September 26, 1934; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Army; he married June Weaver in Havana on |
| 8 | | June 14, 1953; and |
| 9 | | WHEREAS, William Davenport ran the Illi-Go Gas Station for |
| 10 | | many years; he also owned cigarette vending machines, worked |
| 11 | | in trailer sales, and owned Midwest Palette; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Davenport was a member of St. Barnabas |
| 13 | | Episcopal Church in Havana and the Masonic Lodge; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, William Davenport was preceded in death by his |
| 15 | | wife, June; his parents; his sons, Thomas and Timothy |
| 16 | | Davenport; and his brother, Robert Davenport; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, William Davenport is survived by his son, Anthony |
| 18 | | "Tony" Davenport; his daughter-in-law, Brenda (Steve) |
| 19 | | Davenport-Fornoff; his grandchildren, Kyle (Katie) Davenport, |
