| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Keith Edward Loe Bailey of East |
| 4 | | Moline, who passed away on November 16, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Keith Bailey was born in Moline to Horace Edward |
| 6 | | and Alise (Loe) Bailey on December 27, 1932; he graduated from |
| 7 | | United Township High School and then completed machinist |
| 8 | | training at the Moline Tool Company; he served in the U.S. Army |
| 9 | | for two years and was stationed in Korea for one year; after |
| 10 | | returning from Korea, he married Carol Jean Ashdown on |
| 11 | | December 2, 1956; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Keith Bailey worked for the Rock Island Arsenal |
| 13 | | for over 30 years before retiring in 1993; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Keith Bailey was a longtime member and elder at |
| 15 | | Community Christian Church (Pathway Church QCA); he collected |
| 16 | | M&M dispensers and personalized pictures out of cartoons; he |
| 17 | | was a John Wayne fan; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Keith Bailey was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | parents; his brother, Dennis Bailey; his sister, Joyce Hook; |
| 20 | | and an infant brother; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Keith Bailey is survived by his wife, Carol; his |
| 2 | | children, Alisa (Bob) Clary, Edd Bailey (Nancy Baldwin), |
| 3 | | Sharon (Tim) Snyder, and Keith Alan (Kelley) Bailey; his |
| 4 | | grandchildren, David (Katie) Clary, Jon (Mackenzie) Clary, Ann |
| 5 | | Clary, Damon (Natasha) Bailey, Avery Bailey (Hannah Koenig), |
| 6 | | Harrison Bailey, Karen (CJ) Cervantes, Danielle (Eric) Scott, |
| 7 | | Joe (Ashley) Snyder, Meredith (James) Wagner, Trevor Bailey, |
| 8 | | Parker Bailey, and Jacob Bailey; 14 great-grandchildren; and |
| 9 | | his sister-in-law, Barbara Bailey; therefore, be it |
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL |
| 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 12 | | Keith Edward Loe Bailey and extend our sincere condolences to |
| 13 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 14 | | further |
