SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Franklin H. "Frank" Haertjens of 
4Moline, who passed away on November 8, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Haertjens was born to Phillip and Eloise 
6(Blair) Haertjens in Moline on July 7, 1937; he married 
7Barbara Anderson in Moline on September 27, 1958; he served in 
8the U.S. Marine Corps; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Frank Haertjens retired from John Deere Harvester 
10in Moline in 2000; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Haertjens was a member of Sacred Heart and 
12the Legion of Mary; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Haertjens was an avid reader and a 
14basketball fan; he enjoyed traveling and camping with his 
15children; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Frank Haertjens was preceded in death by his 
17sisters, Erma Johnson and Paula Wagoner; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Haertjens is survived by his wife; his 
19children, Deb Struck, Daniel (Aileen) Haertjens, Tom (Barbara)

1Haertjens, Teri Hayes, and John Haertjens; his sister, Mary 
2Elaine; his twin brother, Fred (Naomi) Haertjens; 11 
3grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Franklin H. "Frank" Haertjens and extend our sincere 
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
8him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Frank Haertjens as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
