| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Terry Lee Van Nattan, who passed away |
| 4 | | on October 1, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Terry Lee Van Nattan was born to Arvil Nelson and |
| 6 | | Irene Edna (Hilst) Van Nattan in North Pekin on June 2, 1945; |
| 7 | | he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married |
| 8 | | Linda Tassart and they had one son, Rick; he later married |
| 9 | | Shirley Ann Quick in Pekin on April 16, 1971, and she preceded |
| 10 | | him in death on July 10, 1993; he later married Dotti Louise |
| 11 | | Sea in Clearwater, Florida on February 10, 2004, and she |
| 12 | | preceded him in death on February 27, 2013; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Terry Van Nattan was a heavy equipment operator |
| 14 | | for Operating Engineers Local 649, working for R.A. Cullinan |
| 15 | | in Tremont for 35 years before retiring in 2005; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Terry Van Nattan enjoyed vacationing in Florida |
| 17 | | every winter at Madeira Beach and visiting Jamaica, the Virgin |
| 18 | | Islands, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and the Riviera Maya |
| 19 | | in Mexico; he enjoyed playing pool and cards with his friends |
| 20 | | and riding his motorcycle "Harley D"; he had a green thumb and |
| 21 | | liked doing yard work, gardening, and keeping his home |
| 22 | | beautiful; and |
