| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Paul Eugene Reynolds of Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 13, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Paul Reynolds was born in Whiteside County to |
| 6 | | Scott William and Ruby Emma Enright Reynolds on April 11, |
| 7 | | 1932; his father passed away when he was two, and he was raised |
| 8 | | by his mother and stepfather, Clarence Sterenberg, in Erie; he |
| 9 | | graduated from Erie High School, where he loved playing |
| 10 | | basketball; while in high school, he joined the U.S. Navy |
| 11 | | Reserve; he married Rosanna Ellen Moyer on August 16, 1952; he |
| 12 | | enlisted in 1953 and was stationed in the Marshall Islands as a |
| 13 | | heavy equipment operator during the Korean War; he ended his |
| 14 | | military service in San Diego, California; he later married |
| 15 | | Perla Largo on April 21, 1989; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Paul Reynolds worked as a truck/semi driver for |
| 17 | | several years, driving for Kraft Foods, McLane Trucking, Jewel |
| 18 | | Foods, Eagle Foods, and Lee Enterprises; he also worked at the |
| 19 | | Rock Island Arsenal in their warehouse distribution center, |
| 20 | | where he retired after 20 years; and |
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Paul Reynolds enjoyed reading his newspaper, |
| 22 | | watching TV, or listening to music while enjoying a favorite |

| 1 | | snack of graham crackers and peanut butter along with strong |
| 2 | | coffee; and |
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Paul Reynolds was preceded in death by his |
| 4 | | father, Scott William; his mother, Ruby Reynolds; his |
| 5 | | stepfather, Clarence Sterenberg; his sisters, Judy Myers and |
| 6 | | Delores Reisenbigler; and his former wife, Rosanna Vincent; |
| 7 | | and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Paul Reynolds is survived by wife of 34 years, |
| 9 | | Perla; his daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Marion |
| 10 | | Strickler, Teresa and Dave Clack, Paula and Ed Peterson, and |
| 11 | | Pamela and Jim Randall; his grandchildren, Scott (Nikole) |
| 12 | | Reynolds, Andy (Cheryl) Peterson, Malissa (John) Hager, |
| 13 | | Kathleen (Charles) Anderson, Matthew (Megan) Peterson, Janell |
| 14 | | (Aaron) Cervantes, James (Jamie) Randall, Lindy (Jay) Nelson, |
| 15 | | and Drake (Katie) Randall; his great-grandchildren, Jesseca, |
| 16 | | Kallista, Braden, Braxton, Sailor, Jack, Jillian, Jacob, |
| 17 | | Jessalyn, Sullivan, Nora, Ariana, Rosalyn, and Hunter; his |
| 18 | | sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Dave Manchester; his |
| 19 | | brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Sterenberg; and his |
| 20 | | brother-in-law, Wayne Myers; therefore, be it |
