| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Deborah L. "Debbie" Jerisha, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 6, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha was born to Harold and Ruth |
| 6 | | (Ogrzewalla) Clark in Du Quoin on March 24, 1951; she attended |
| 7 | | Joliet Public Grade Schools and Joliet Central High School for |
| 8 | | two years before moving to Milwaukee with her mother, where |
| 9 | | she graduated from Washington High School; she married Anthony |
| 10 | | "Tony" Jerisha Jr.; she attended Joliet Junior College before |
| 11 | | ultimately leaving the nursing program to raise her family; |
| 12 | | and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha was a stay at home mom, raising |
| 14 | | her sons, and returned to work outside the home after they were |
| 15 | | grown; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha enjoyed Florida vacations with her |
| 17 | | family and camping trips to South Wilmington Sportsman's Club |
| 18 | | in Essex; she was a passionate advocate for animal rights; she |
| 19 | | loved owning and riding horses and feeding the wildlife in her |
| 20 | | backyard, including the fish in the pond, squirrels, and |
| 21 | | birds; she liked watching documentaries and programs about the |
| 22 | | supernatural; and |
