SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Lance Corporal Evan C. Brown of 
4Monticello, who  passed away on August 11, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, LCpl. Brown was born in Urbana to Michael R. and 
6Kathy O. (O'Meara) Brown on July 28, 2003; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, LCpl. Brown proudly served in the United States 
8Marines as an infantryman; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, LCpl. Brown was a member of the Monticello United 
10Methodist Church and Albert-Parker American Legion Post #620; 
11he loved the outdoors; he also loved animals and music and was 
12an avid history buff; and
 
13    WHEREAS, LCpl. Brown was a beloved son and brother and a 
14kind friend known for his sense of humor and compassion for 
15others; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, LCpl. Brown was preceded in death by his 
17grandparents, Robert and Bernee O'Meara; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, LCpl. Brown is survived by his parents; his 
19sisters, Mary Cate (Brian) Conn, Lily Brown, and Emma Brown;

1and his grandmother, Joanne Hodges; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Lance Corporal Evan C. Brown and extend our sincere 
5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
6him; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  LCpl. Brown as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
