SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Arpp of Villa Park, who 
4passed away on July 3, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was born on December 20, 1930; he served 
6in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he was a longtime 
7resident of Villa Park; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was a fraternal member of Union Local 
9597 Pipefitters; he was also a member of the Villa Park Lions 
10Club; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was fond of his beloved dog, Benji; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bob Arpp was the husband of Christine (Wilkinson) 
13Arpp for 65 years; the father of Cyndi (Arthur Jr.) Tancl, 
14Curtis (Suzanna) Arpp, and Correne (Robert) Thiel Jr.; the 
15grandfather of Arthur III (Amanda) Tancl and Jacob (fiancée, 
16Michelle Craig) Thiel; and the great-grandfather of Gabriella, 
17Grant, and Griffin Tancl; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Robert "Bob" Arpp and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Bob Arpp as an expression of our
