SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 
3congratulate Carrie (Griswold) Wiggins on the occasion of her 
4tenure as president of the Illinois Pharmacists Association; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Illinois Pharmacists Association is dedicated 
7to enhancing the professional competency of pharmacists, 
8advancing the standards of pharmacy practice, improving 
9pharmacists' effectiveness in assuring rational drug use in 
10society, and leading in the resolution of public policy issues 
11affecting pharmacists; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins graduated from Eldorado High 
13School in Eldorado in 1996 and St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 
14St. Louis, Missouri in 2001; and
  
  
15    WHEREAS, Carrie (Griswold) Wiggins presently works as 
16director of Market Health and Wellness for Walmart in Southern 
17Illinois, where she supervises 11 pharmacies and four vision 
18centers in Southern Illinois; she will celebrate her 20th 
19anniversary with Walmart in July 2023; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins currently serves as the 2022-2023 
21president of the Illinois Pharmacists Association; and

1    WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins also serves on the Illinois Board 
2of Pharmacy, having recently been appointed by Governor JB 
3Pritzker; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins is passionate about her community 
5and actively supports the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern 
6Illinois and the Southeastern Illinois Community Health 
7Coalition; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins is married to Matthew Wiggins, and 
9they live in Eldorado with their three sons, Dillon, Braden, 
10and Liam Wiggins; therefore, be it
  
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Carrie 
13(Griswold) Wiggins on her tenure as president of the Illinois 
14Pharmacists Association; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to Carrie Wiggins as an expression of our esteem and 
17respect.
