SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Robert P. Cappelli, who passed away on 
4March 15, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Cappelli was born to Nicola and Beatrice 
6(Antonacci) Cappelli in Springfield on November 1, 1932; he 
7served in the U.S. Army; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Cappelli was a retired master sergeant of 
9the Illinois State Police; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Cappelli loved spending time with his 
11family; he enjoyed traveling, eating good food, and having a 
12nice Manhattan; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Cappelli was preceded in death by his 
14wife, Mary Lou; his son, Tim Cappelli; and his partner, Jo 
15Seitz; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Cappelli is survived by his daughter, 
17Camille (Gary) Neuman; his daughter-in-law, Diana Cappelli; 
18his grandchildren, Adrienne (Steve) Cappelli Ettinger, Cassie 
19(Phil) VonDeBur, Nicholas (Courtney Stone) Cappelli, and 
20Zacharie (Bianca) Neuman; his great-grandchildren, Delilah,

1Landon, Adele, Colin, Maxton, Brinley, Leo, Colson, and a baby 
2girl arriving in May; and Janice Buchele and the Seitz family; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

6Robert P. Cappelli and extend our sincere
condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

10presented to the family of Robert Cappelli as an expression of

11our deepest sympathy.
