AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3597 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3597 on page 1, 
3immediately below line 11, by inserting the following: 
4    ""Clean energy infrastructure project" means:
5        (i) a project that uses renewable energy resources, as 
6    defined in Section 1-10 of the Illinois Power Agency Act;
7        (ii) an energy efficiency project;
8        (iii) a project that uses technology for the storage 
9    of renewable energy, including, without limitation, the 
10    use of battery or electrochemical storage technology for 
11    mobile or stationary applications;
12        (iv) a project for the acquisition or repairs of 
13    electric vehicles;
14        (v) a project for the acquisition, construction, or 
15    repairs to electric vehicle charging stations; and
16        (vi) a building electrification project of replacing 
17    fossil fuels with electricity to meet a given end use. 
18    "Electric vehicle" means a vehicle that is exclusively

1powered by and refueled by electricity, must be plugged in to 
2charge, and is licensed to drive on public roadways. 
3    "Electric vehicle charging station" means a station that 
4delivers electricity from a source outside an electric vehicle 
5into one or more electric vehicles. 
6    "Energy efficiency project" means measures that reduce the 
7amount of electricity, natural gas, or total Btu of 
8electricity or natural gas required to achieve or meet a given 
9end use, consistent with Section 1-10 of the Illinois Power 
10Agency Act."; and

12for".
