| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3481 on page 1, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 10 through 15 with the following: |
| 4 | | ""Battery energy storage solution facility" or "BESS" |
| 5 | | means a facility that stores and distributes energy in the |
| 6 | | form of electricity and that stores electricity using battery |
| 7 | | devices and other means. "Battery energy storage solution" or |
| 8 | | "BESS" includes any permanent structures associated with the |
| 9 | | battery energy storage facility and all associated |
| 10 | | transmission lines, substations, and other equipment related |
| 11 | | to the storage and transmission of electric power."; and

| 12 | | on page 2, line 21, replace "week." with "week; and"; and
|
| 13 | | on page 2, immediately below line 21, by inserting the |
| 14 | | following: |
| 15 | | "(3) the owner or operator of the battery storage site |
| 16 | | is an automotive parts recycler as defined in Section |
