| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 1-105 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 1-105. Enforcement of Act and rules. The The Supreme |
| 8 | | Court may provide by rule for the orderly and expeditious |
| 9 | | administration and enforcement of this Act and of the rules, |
| 10 | | including the striking of pleadings, the dismissal of claims, |
| 11 | | the entry of defaults, the assessment of costs, the assessment |
| 12 | | against an offending party of the reasonable expenses, |
| 13 | | including attorney's fees, which any violation causes another |
| 14 | | party to incur, or other action that may be appropriate. |
