| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Governor Transition Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 1 as follows: |
| 6 | | (15 ILCS 10/1) (from Ch. 127, par. 63b121) |
| 7 | | Sec. 1. When at any general election for the the office of |
| 8 | | Governor the incumbent Governor is not elected, the Governor, |
| 9 | | within 2 weeks after such election, shall provide space for |
| 10 | | not more than 5 persons designated by the Governor-elect to |
| 11 | | enable the Governor-elect to begin a review and analysis of |
| 12 | | budgeted expenditures during the then current biennium and |
| 13 | | budget requests for the ensuing biennium and to acquire a |
| 14 | | working knowledge of the various offices, departments, |
| 15 | | commissions, boards and other agencies of the executive branch |
| 16 | | of the State government. The Governor shall cooperate with the |
| 17 | | Governor-elect and the staff so designated by him and provide |
| 18 | | any assistance that may be reasonably requested. |
