AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1935 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1935 on page 2, by 
3replacing lines 10 through 24 with the following:


4    "When the administrator determines that property is to be 
5disposed of
by sale, he shall offer it first to the following 
6entities for purchase at an appraised
value: 
7        (1) municipalities, counties, and
school districts of 
8    the State; and to 
9        (2) charitable, not-for-profit educational
and public 
10    health organizations, including but not limited to medical

11    institutions, clinics, hospitals, health centers, schools, 
12    colleges,
universities, child care centers, museums, 
13    nursing homes, programs for the
elderly, food banks, State 
14    Use Sheltered Workshops and
the Boy and Girl Scouts of 
15    America; , for purchase at an appraised
value. 
16        (3) minority-owned businesses, as defined in Section 2 
17    of the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Women, and 
18    Persons with Disabilities Act; and

1        (4) qualified veteran-owned small businesses, as 
2    defined in Section 45-57 of the Illinois Procurement Code. 
3    Notice of inspection or viewing dates and property lists

4shall be distributed in the manner provided in rules and 
5regulations
promulgated by the Administrator for that 
6purpose.".
