| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1779, AS AMENDED, |
| 3 | | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. |
| 4 | | 1, on page 7, line 13, before "Violations", by inserting "The |
| 5 | | Department may take disciplinary action against a medication |
| 6 | | aide, including, but not limited to, suspension or revocation |
| 7 | | of the medication aide's certification, for gross |
| 8 | | negligence."; and |
| 9 | | on page 7, immediately below line 19, by inserting the |
| 10 | | following: |
| 11 | | "(u) To ensure transparency and the well-being of |
| 12 | | residents, a facility is required to provide information about |
| 13 | | medication administration via certified medication aides in |
| 14 | | its admission agreements so that residents and their families |
| 15 | | understand the addition of certified medication aides as |
| 16 | | members of the healthcare team."; and |
