| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 8-1 as follows:

nominations of candidates for members of the |
| 13 | | General Assembly shall be
placed upon the official ballot to |
| 14 | | be voted at the general election
as a candidate unless such |
| 15 | | person shall have
been nominated for such office under the |
| 16 | | provisions of this article 8.
