HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Betty 
4Ann (Benson) Payne of Niles, who passed away on November 19, 
52024; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Betty Payne was born on October 28, 1931; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Betty Payne loved her family, her dogs, and 
8gardening; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Betty Payne was a strong, kind, loving, and 
10generous woman who will be remembered for her contagious 
11happiness; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Betty Payne was the mother of the late Richard 
13(Susan) and Scott; the grandmother of Jason, Angela, Elizabeth 
14(Jaime Valle) and the late Eric (Jaclyn Jennetten); the 
15great-grandmother of Ester (Mariano Ortega), Ada, Arianna, 
16Xavier, Leah, and Olivia; known as "Grandma Betty" to the 
17Mason family; the aunt of many nieces and nephews; and a friend 
18to all who met her; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
20HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we mourn the passing of Betty Ann (Benson) Payne and extend our 
2sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
3and loved her; and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Betty Payne as an expression of our 
6deepest sympathy.
