| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Chief Phil Perlini of the |
| 4 | | Grayslake Police Department on the occasion of his retirement; |
| 5 | | and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Chief Perlini graduated from the Chicago |
| 7 | | Metropolitan Police Academy in December 1983 and the |
| 8 | | Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command in |
| 9 | | 2001; he received a Master of Science in Organizational |
| 10 | | Leadership from Dominican University in 2011; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Chief Perlini has 40 years of law enforcement |
| 12 | | experience, beginning his career as a dispatcher in Park Ridge |
| 13 | | when he was 18 years old; after becoming a police officer, he |
| 14 | | initially served the Hoffman Estates Police Department before |
| 15 | | working for the Glenview Police Department for 28 years, where |
| 16 | | he served as a sergeant, commander, and deputy chief of |
| 17 | | police; he became chief of the Grayslake Police Department in |
| 18 | | July 2012; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Chief Perlini has also served as a part-time |
| 20 | | firefighter and emergency medical technician in Round Lake, |
| 21 | | and he is currently working with the Newport Township Fire |
| 22 | | Protection District; and |
