| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Dorothy Jean Tillman |
| 4 | | on receiving her Ph.D. at the age of 17; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tillman had obtained an associate's degree, a |
| 6 | | bachelor's degree, and master's degree by the age of 14 and set |
| 7 | | her sights on a doctorate; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tillman delivered her dissertation at the age |
| 9 | | of 17, and at 18, she is officially a doctor after walking at |
| 10 | | Arizona State University's College of Health Solutions |
| 11 | | convocation on May 8, 2024; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tillman excelled in her academic pursuits |
| 13 | | from a young age; by age 7, she was already doing high school |
| 14 | | work and started to take college level module tests and apply |
| 15 | | the credits toward higher education; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tillman studied integrated behavioral health |
| 17 | | at Arizona State University; for her dissertation, she |
| 18 | | explored the stigma that prevents university students from |
| 19 | | getting mental health treatment; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tillman also devotes her time to running the |
