HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Jason Hoots, a seventh 
4grader at Greenfield Junior High School in Greenfield, on 
5placing first in the 200m at the 2024 Illinois Elementary 
6School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th Grade Boys State Track 
7and Field Meet; and
 
8    WHEREAS, While placing first, Jason Hoots additionally 
9broke the state record in the 200m with a time of 24.75 
10seconds; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jason Hoots also competed in the 100m, where he 
12placed second with a time of 12.60 seconds, and the long jump, 
13where he placed third with a distance of 17 feet and 0.75 
14inches, a personal record; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jason Hoots is the son of Jeffrey and Megan 
16Hoots; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
18HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we congratulate Jason Hoots on his accomplishments at the 2024 
20Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 1A 7th 
21Grade Boys State Track and Field Meet, and we wish him

1continued success in the future; and be it further
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to Jason Hoots as an expression of our esteem and 
4respect.
