HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Nidhi Kulkarni, a seventh 
4grader at Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School, who won 
5first place in the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Citywide 
6Spelling Bee Championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The CPS Citywide Spelling Bee Championship was 
8held at Marie Curie High School on March 19, 2024 and provides 
9an opportunity for students across Chicago to meet, engage, 
10and learn from one another; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Nidhi Kulkarni was the representative from her 
12class selected to participate in the school-wide spelling bee, 
13and after she correctly spelled mumbai in her school spelling 
14bee, she advanced to the citywide championship; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Nidhi Kulkarni was participating for the first 
16time in the citywide spelling bee; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Nidhi Kulkarni memorized 4,000 words and 
18correctly spelled myocarditis to secure her title as the 
19champion of the 2024 Chicago Public School Citywide Spelling 
20Bee; and

1    WHEREAS, Principal Reyes and Librarian Aldrin foster a 
2meritorious environment that promotes success within the 
3student body at Alexander Bell Elementary School; therefore, 
4be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
6HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we congratulates Nidhi Kulkarni, a student at Alexander Graham 
8Bell Elementary School, on her outstanding accomplishment in 
9winning the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Citywide Spelling Bee 
10Championship; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
12presented to Nidhi Kulkarni, her family, and Alexander Graham 
13Bell Elementary School to celebrate this excellent academic 
14commitment and achievement.
