HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Officer Randall Paul on 
4the occasion of his retirement from the Cherry Valley Police 
5Department; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Office Paul has dedicated more than 18 years of 
7service to the Cherry Valley Police Department and the 
8community he served; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Office Paul has remained humble in his service as 
10a law enforcement officer, always staying motivated by the 
11altruistic drive to better the community around him; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Officer Paul has made consistent efforts to 
13learn, grow, and build relationships for the betterment of the 
14Cherry Valley community; and
 
15    WHEREAS, After having saved a life on March 10, 2017, 
16Officer Paul received the Cherry Valley Police Department's 
17lifesaving medal for his commitment to public safety; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Officer Paul retired from the Cherry Valley 
19Police Department on October 29, 2023, ending his long and 
20distinguished career of service; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Officer Randall Paul on his retirement, thank 
4him for his many years of dedicated service as a law 
5enforcement officer, and wish him happiness and great success 
6in his future endeavors; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Officer Paul as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
