HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Maureen Kahn, president 
4and CEO of Blessing Health System, on the occasion of her 
5retirement on October 6, 2023; and
  
 
  
6    WHEREAS, Maureen Kahn became president and CEO of Blessing 
7Health System on October 1, 2014, having previously served as 
8president and CEO of Blessing Hospital since May 2005; she 
9joined Blessing Hospital as senior vice president and chief 
10nursing officer in April 2001; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Prior to her work at Blessing Health System, 
12Maureen Kahn served as senior vice president of patient 
13services at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts, as 
14well as in other leadership positions at hospitals in New York 
15and Pennsylvania; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Maureen Kahn has guided Blessing Hospital and the 
17entire Blessing Health System through a period of growth and 
18sustained excellence during her tenure; and

  
 
19    WHEREAS, Maureen Kahn has been an  incredibly effective 
20leader who has worked tirelessly for Blessing Health System 
21for 22 years, benefiting the health system, its employees, its

1many patients, and the community; therefore, be it
  
 

  
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Maureen Kahn, president and CEO of Blessing 
5Health System, on her retirement, and we wish her the best in 
6her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Maureen Kahn as a symbol of our respect and 
9esteem.
