| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Erich Hannah on being |
| 4 | | selected as the 2023 recipient of the annual First
Citizen |
| 5 | | Award; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Since 1932, the Danville Chapter of AMBUCS has |
| 7 | | presented a First Citizen's Award, recognizing volunteer |
| 8 | | service to the community; candidates are recommended by their |
| 9 | | peers through letters of nomination each winter and are judged
|
| 10 | | by a panel to encourage and recognize leaders in the community |
| 11 | | who selflessly
sacrifice themselves for the greater good; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Erich Hannah has served as the president of
|
| 13 | | Habitat for Humanity of Danville for many years and has |
| 14 | | volunteered numerous hours
to the success of the organization; |
| 15 | | through his work with the organization he has helped over 50 |
| 16 | | families
with home ownership and played a vital role in the |
| 17 | | opening of the Habitat Restore in Danville; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Erich Hannah's involvement with Habitat for |
| 19 | | Humanity started when he was
asked to be on the board of |
| 20 | | directors for the Jacksonville branch, before his relocation |
| 21 | | to Danville; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Erich Hannah has been involved with numerous |
| 2 | | organizations, including Big Brothers Big
Sisters, Downtown |
| 3 | | Danville Rotary, Second Church of Christ, Second Church of |
| 4 | | Christ Men's Club,
Habitat for Humanity of Danville, Habitat |
| 5 | | for Humanity of Illinois, and Free and Accepted Masons; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Erich Hannah has held a variety of positions such |
| 7 | | as
logistics manager, loan officer, and sales representative; |
| 8 | | in 2013, he acquired Newton's Cleaning and Restoration, LLC.; |
| 9 | | and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Erich Hannah is married to Monica Hannah, and
|
| 11 | | they are parents to Scott Hannah, Rachel Hannah, and Emily |
| 12 | | Hartman; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 14 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 15 | | we congratulate Erich Hannah on being selected as the 2023 |
| 16 | | recipient of the annual First
Citizen Award, presented by the |
| 17 | | Danville Chapter of AMBUCS; and be it further

| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 | | presented to Erich Hannah as a symbol of our respect and |
