HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Alpine Academy of Rockford, then known as Luther 
3Academy of Alpine, began providing quality faith-based 
4education in 1997 as a partnership between Alpine Lutheran 
5Church and Rockford Lutheran Schools; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Alpine Lutheran Church congregation made the 
7bold commitment to continue education as Alpine Academy of 
8Rockford in 2007 when Rockford Lutheran Schools made the 
9determination to discontinue the school at Alpine; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Alpine Academy of Rockford has remained dedicated 
11to providing Pre K through sixth grade education that focuses 
12on ensuring that young people are prepared for future 
13scholastic achievement and participation as good citizens; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Through the dedication of the teachers, staff, 
15students, families, and the congregation, Alpine Academy 
16continues to uphold its core values of grace, family, 
17involvement, commitment, and achievement; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, In 2023, Alpine Academy of Rockford expanded its 
19commitment to education throughout Rockford by opening a new 
20location in conjunction with Resurrection Lutheran Church on 
21Rockford's west side; and

1    WHEREAS, In 2023, Alpine Academy of Rockford is 
2celebrating 25 years of high quality education at Alpine and 
3throughout the Rockford community; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Alpine Academy of Rockford for its continued 
7devotion to quality education on the occasion of its 25th 
8anniversary; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
10presented Alpine Academy of Rockford as an expression of our 
11esteem and respect.
