| 3 | | immediately below line 22, by inserting: |
| 4 | | "(c) If a court grants a motion to impound the file under |
| 5 | | this Section, it is still required under subsection (d) of |
| 6 | | Section 21-101 that the name change be reported to the |
| 7 | | Illinois State Police, and the Illinois State Police must |
| 8 | | update any criminal history transcript or offender |
| 9 | | registration for each person 18 years of age or older to |
| 10 | | include the change of name as well as the person's former |
| 11 | | name."; and

| 12 | | on page 5, immediately below line 25, by inserting the |
| 13 | | following:

| 14 | | "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect March |
| 15 | | 1, 2025.". |
