AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4819 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4819 by replacing 
3line 15 on page 14 through line 11 on page 15 with the 
4following:
5    "(6) The Department of Corrections shall provide lactation 
6or nursing mothers rooms for personnel of the Department. The 
7rooms shall be provided in each facility of the Department 
8that employs nursing mothers. Each individual lactation room 
9must:
10        (i) contain doors that lock;
11        (ii) have an "Occupied" sign for each door;
12        (iii) contain electrical outlets for plugging in 
13    breast pumps;
14        (iv) have sufficient lighting and ventilation;
15        (v) contain comfortable chairs;
16        (vi) contain a countertop or table for all necessary 
17    supplies for lactation;
18        (vii) contain a wastebasket and chemical cleaners to

1    wash one's hands and to clean the surfaces of the 
2    countertop or table;
3        (viii) have a functional sink;
4        (ix) have a minimum of one refrigerator for storage of 
5    the breast milk; and
6        (x) receive routine daily maintenance.".
