| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 40 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 2805/40 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 40. Notice of veterans and service members' benefits, |
| 8 | | services, and protections. The Department shall create, and |
| 9 | | the Department of Labor shall make available, at no cost, a |
| 10 | | veterans and service members' benefits, services, and |
| 11 | | protections poster. Such a poster shall include, but not be |
| 12 | | limited to, information regarding the following: |
| 13 | | (1) Free veterans' benefits and services provided by |
| 14 | | the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and other |
| 15 | | veterans service organizations; |
| 16 | | (2) Tax benefits; |
| 17 | | (3) Illinois veteran driver's license and non-driver |
| 18 | | veteran identification card; |
| 19 | | (4) Illinois protections for survivors of sexual |
| 20 | | violence in the military; and |
| 21 | | (5) Contact information for the following: |
| 22 | | (i) The United States Department of Veterans |
| 23 | | Affairs; |
