AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4754 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4754 on page 3, 
3line 15, after "Police" by inserting "and the Illinois 
4Criminal Justice Information Authority"; and
 
5on page 3, line 17, after the period, by inserting "The 
6Illinois State Police and the Illinois Criminal Justice 
7Information Authority may publish and make publicly available 
8the information provided under subsection (b)."; and
 
9on page 3, line 18, after "its", by inserting "public"; and
 
10by replacing line 23 on page 3 through line 1 on page 4 with 
11the following:
12        "(2) How many nonfatal shootings occurred in a month;
13        (3) how many of the homicides and nonfatal shootings 
14    described in paragraphs (1) and (2) had an alleged 
15    perpetrator arrested and charged;

1        (4) how many homicides and nonfatal shootings 
2    described in paragraphs (1) and (2) are considered cleared 
3    or closed for a reason other than the arrest and charging 
4    of an alleged perpetrator;
5        (5) how many cases were cleared because the alleged 
6    perpetrator is deceased, the case was rejected by the 
7    prosecutor, the suspect is currently incarcerated, or 
8    other exceptional means outside of law enforcement's 
9    control; and
10        (6) how many of the cases described in paragraphs (1) 
11    and (2) were referred to the relevant State's Attorney 
12    office for prosecution.".
