Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that September 17 of each year is designated as United States Constitution Day, to be observed throughout the State as a day to celebrate and remember the founding document of the United States and the founding principles of the United States.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 222 as follows: |
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 490/222 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 222. United States Constitution Day. September 17 of |
| 8 | | each year is designated as United States Constitution Day, to |
| 9 | | be observed throughout the State as a day to celebrate and |
| 10 | | remember the founding document of the United States and the |
| 11 | | founding principles of the United States.
