| 4 | | "(c) Knowingly installing or using disablement technology |
| 5 | | in a motor"; and

| 6 | | on page 2 by replacing line 13 with "Act. An assignee or |
| 7 | | successor in interest to a retail installment contract or |
| 8 | | other instrument who did not install, authorize, or ratify the |
| 9 | | installation of the disablement technology in a consumer's |
| 10 | | vehicle may not be held liable for the prior contract holder's |
| 11 | | installation of disablement technology unless the technology |
| 12 | | is activated or the consumer is threatened with activation by |
| 13 | | the assignee or successor in interest."; and
|
| 14 | | on page 3, line 22, by replacing "similar agreement" with |
| 15 | | "other instrument".
