| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Rabbi Yaakov Rajchenbach, who passed |
| 4 | | away on August 5, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach served as an executive board |
| 6 | | member of Torah Umesorah and chair of the executive committee |
| 7 | | of Telshe Yeshiva of Chicago; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach was a pillar of Chicago's |
| 9 | | Jewish communities, embodying the spirit of Askanim and laying |
| 10 | | the groundwork for future Baalei Batim; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach was a legendary Ba'al Tzedaka |
| 12 | | and philanthropist who gave charitably to a myriad of causes, |
| 13 | | building and sustaining countless individuals and |
| 14 | | organizations; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach, known fondly as "Jack", was |
| 16 | | loved by his family and worship community; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach is survived by his wife, Judy, |
| 18 | | his children, and his grandchildren; therefore, be it
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
