| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Raymond G. Saelens of Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on July 21, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens was born in Silvis to Rene and |
| 6 | | Eliza (DeKoker) Saelens on February 4, 1930; he married Joyce |
| 7 | | Stahl in Havanah on August 17, 1957; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens worked for the U.S. Army as an |
| 9 | | accountant; prior to working for the Army, he worked for John |
| 10 | | Deere; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens was a member of St Mary's |
| 12 | | Catholic Church; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens was preceded in death by his |
| 14 | | parents and son, Lawrence "Larry"; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Saelens is survived by his wife, Joyce; |
| 16 | | his children, Beth (Michael) Nickell, Mark (Jennifer) Saelens, |
| 17 | | Daniel (Deborah) Saelens, and Diane (Joseph) Gardner; 10 |
| 18 | | grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
