| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Robert William "Bob" Anderson of |
| 4 | | Moline, who passed away on July 20, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Anderson was born in Rock Island on February |
| 6 | | 27, 1952; he was the son of Richard William and Jane Eleanor |
| 7 | | (High) Anderson; he served in the U.S. Army and afterward |
| 8 | | attended the University of Florida; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Anderson worked for Veterans Affairs, John |
| 10 | | Deere, and the U.S. Post Office before working for the Rock |
| 11 | | Island Arsenal, from which he retired after many years of |
| 12 | | service; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bob Anderson was a member of the Quad City Parrot |
| 14 | | Head Club and the Svithiod Club; he was an avid fan of sports, |
| 15 | | including the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs; he loved |
| 16 | | coaching and serving as an umpire for baseball and softball |
| 17 | | games, including for his own children's teams; he also loved |
| 18 | | telling stories and never met a stranger; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bob Anderson was preceded in death by his |
| 20 | | parents; his brother, Rick; his niece, Amanda Villmer; and his |
| 21 | | brother-in-law, Mike Villmer; and
