| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Harrison Lee "Bud" Johnson, who passed |
| 4 | | away on January 12, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bud Johnson was born on May 4, 1988; he attended |
| 6 | | Saint Sabina Academy from 1991 to 2002; while attending Leo |
| 7 | | Catholic High School, he played center on the varsity football |
| 8 | | team and often volunteered as the statistician for basketball |
| 9 | | games and during practices; he also received a perfect score |
| 10 | | in his Industrial Art class for his ability to construct a |
| 11 | | functional HVAC system; he graduated in May 2006; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Bud Johnson worked as a camp counselor at The ARK |
| 13 | | of Sabina during the summer of 2002, where he was recognized |
| 14 | | for his intuitive and gentle nature; he made his decisions |
| 15 | | from the heart and absolutely loved working with kids; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Bud Johnson was a protective, tender, and |
| 17 | | quick-witted jokester who lived bravely with mental illness; |
| 18 | | he made friends easily and had an undying love for his family; |
| 19 | | and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bud Johnson is survived by his mother, Katrice M. |
| 21 | | Kendall; his grandfather, Henry M. Kendall; his aunts, Rhonda |
