SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Robert T. "Rob" Cassens, DMD of 
4Auburn, who passed away on December 20, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rob Cassens was born in Mattoon to Bruce W. and 
6Sharon A. (Hull) Cassens on August 24, 1969; he served his 
7country in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander and married 
8Elizabeth "Betsy" Stayton in Jacksonville on June 20, 1992; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Rob Cassens practiced dentistry and owned his own 
11practice since 1995; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Rob Cassens was an active member of the West Side 
13Christian Church; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Rob Cassens was preceded in death by his 
15grandparents; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Rob Cassens is survived by his wife, Betsy; his 
17parents; his daughters, Isabella and Lydia Cassens; his son, 
18Jonah Cassens; his brother, Ryan (Jennifer) Cassens; his 
19sister, Whitney (Jason) Mehaffy; and several aunts, uncles, 
20nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert T. "Rob" Cassens and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Rob Cassens as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
