| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Susan Bird Doucleff, who passed away |
| 4 | | on December 18, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Susan Doucleff was born to William and Clare |
| 6 | | (Jones) Bird in Laredo, Texas on August 10, 1944; she |
| 7 | | graduated from North Texas State University; she married |
| 8 | | Michael S. Doucleff Sr. in Fort Worth, Texas on July 9, 1966; |
| 9 | | and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Susan Doucleff was involved in the Alton |
| 11 | | community and volunteered with the Caravan resale shop at the |
| 12 | | Oasis Women's Center; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Susan Doucleff was a member of the Main St. |
| 14 | | United Methodist Church, where she was active in many |
| 15 | | capacities, including children and youth activities, the |
| 16 | | women's ministry, and the hand bell choir; she was also a |
| 17 | | member of the board at Centerstone of Alton; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Susan Doucleff enjoyed traveling and meeting |
| 19 | | people around the world; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Susan Doucleff was preceded in death by her |
