| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Linwood Rayford Elliott of Alton, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 3, 2021; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Linwood Elliott was born to Anthony Elliott III | ||||||
| 6 | and Willie Mae Davis Elliott in Grenada, Mississippi on May | ||||||
| 7 | 29, 1943; he graduated from Carrie Dotson High School in | ||||||
| 8 | Grenada in 1963; he also attended Alcorn University; he | ||||||
| 9 | relocated to Godfrey in 1965, where he first resided with his | ||||||
| 10 | sister, Judia, his brother-in-law, E.O. Lacey, and family; | ||||||
| 11 | after being in the social arena, he moved to Alton, where he | ||||||
| 12 | resided with his brother, James, his sister-in-law, Annie Lee | ||||||
| 13 | Elliott, and family; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Linwood Elliott was a former employee of the | ||||||
| 15 | Duncan Foundry, the Olin Chemical Corporation, and the Alton | ||||||
| 16 | Boxboard Company; he retired from the Clark Oil Refinery; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Linwood Elliott was affectionately known as | ||||||
| 18 | "Yabba Dabba Do"; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Linwood Elliott is survived by his children, | ||||||
| 20 | Tambla Lynn Elliott, Anthony L. J. Elliott (Rene), Linwood | ||||||
| 21 | Elliott Jr. (Glendoria), Alison Joelle (Kamal) Randolph, and | ||||||

| 1 | Dr. Angela A. Elliott; his bonus daughter, Java Taylor | ||||||
| 2 | Anderson; his bonus son, Gregory Calvin McGraw; his best | ||||||

| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 15 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 16 | Linwood Rayford Elliott and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 17 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||

| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
