| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Jamie L. Rieke of Woodstock, who |
| 4 | | passed away on July 28, 2021; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke was born in Elgin to James and |
| 6 | | Barbara (Novicki) Rieke on September 6, 1975; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke served as a corrections officer with |
| 8 | | the McHenry County Sheriff's Office for 17 years; and |
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke's backyard was a gathering place for |
| 10 | | fires and good food; she was a lifelong fan of the Chicago |
| 11 | | Cubs, Jerry Garcia, and the Grateful Dead; she was beloved and |
| 12 | | will be missed by her family, friends, and coworkers; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke was preceded in death by her |
| 14 | | grandparents, Evelyn and Henry Rieke and Winnifried and Gerald |
| 15 | | Novicki; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Rieke is survived by her parents, Jim and |
| 17 | | Barb (Novicki) Rieke; her brothers, Darin Rieke, Bill |
| 18 | | (Christy) Rieke, and Chris Rieke; her sister, Jeri Ann Rieke; |
| 19 | | her niece, Amanda Rieke; her nephews, Justin Rieke and Gary |
| 20 | | Rieke; her great-nephew, Maverick; her great-niece, Lorelai; |
