| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Charles D. "Chuck" Mockbee III of |
| 4 | | Danville, who passed away on February 23, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee was born on February 6, 1947; he |
| 6 | | grew up in the Jamesburg and Henning area; he graduated from |
| 7 | | the Bismarck-Henning High School; he attended Northern |
| 8 | | Illinois University; he earned his Juris Doctor from John |
| 9 | | Marshall Law School; he became a member of the Illinois Bar in |
| 10 | | 1975; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee represented District 2 on the |
| 12 | | Vermilion County Board; he served as Blount township assessor |
| 13 | | and as a precinct committeemen; he previously spent many years |
| 14 | | as a member of the Bismarck-Henning School Board; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee attended CrossRoads Christian |
| 16 | | Church; he was a member of the Bismarck Lions Club; he enjoyed |
| 17 | | reading history, including his genealogy, and watching |
| 18 | | University of Illinois sports; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee will be greatly missed by his |
| 20 | | family, friends, clients, and the community he served; and
