| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to commend the Hispanic Alliance for | ||||||
| 4 | Career Enhancement (HACE) for its 40 years of service to the | ||||||
| 5 | Latino community and its contributions to our economy and | ||||||
| 6 | world; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, HACE was founded in 1982 and established its | ||||||
| 8 | headquarters in Chicago, Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, HACE is a national non-profit organization | ||||||
| 10 | dedicated to the employment, development, and advancement of | ||||||
| 11 | current and aspiring Latino professionals; it has served as a | ||||||
| 12 | resource for Latinos in the workplace and is a subject-matter | ||||||
| 13 | expert for corporations seeking to access diverse talent; | ||||||
| 14 | through professional development, resources, and networks and | ||||||
| 15 | by facilitating access to meaningful career opportunities, the | ||||||
| 16 | organization helps Latinos succeed in every phase of their | ||||||
| 17 | careers; it has a network of almost 100,000 members, which | ||||||
| 18 | span from high school students to executives, across the U.S. | ||||||
| 19 | and beyond its borders; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, HACE is instrumental in assisting domestic and | ||||||
| 21 | global employers to remain competitive in an increasingly | ||||||
| 22 | dynamic economy by helping them attract, develop, and retain | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Latino talent and diverse professionals; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, From its inception, HACE has worked to positively | ||||||
| 3 | impact the American workplace by cultivating the pipeline of | ||||||
| 4 | Latino talent and by providing Latino professionals the | ||||||
| 5 | insight, access, and support to be successful in their | ||||||
| 6 | careers; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, HACE has worked to create a world in which | ||||||
| 8 | Latinas are paid fairly and where all Latinos realize their | ||||||
| 9 | full potential, both for themselves and their communities, and | ||||||
| 10 | are able to pave a prosperous path for future generations; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, HACE will continue to achieve these goals through | ||||||
| 12 | achievement, inclusion, accessibility, continuous innovation, | ||||||
| 13 | relevant programming, excellence, and global leadership; | ||||||
| 14 | therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 16 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 17 | we congratulate HACE on its 40th Anniversary National | ||||||
| 18 | Leadership Career Summit and Celebration in Chicago from April | ||||||
| 19 | 21 to 22, 2022; and be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 21 | presented to HACE as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
