HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Scott Deitz on the 
4occasion of his retirement from Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 
5101 in Belleville on
January 1, 2022; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Scott Deitz has been a member in good standing of 
7the United Association of
Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 101 
8since May 1, 1988; he started his career as a
residential 
9plumber for smaller local contractors, advancing to bigger

10projects, including commercial plumbing at hospitals, schools, 
11and stores; he is  a respected and capable leader on the job and

12in the office; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Scott Deitz has served as a member of Local 101's 
14Executive Board, as President and as
Business Manager and 
15Financial Secretary Treasurer from December 2012 to
January 
162022; he has chaired the Local Pension, Health & Welfare, and 
17JATC
Committees; he also served on a committee for the 
18Illinois State Pipe Trades; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Scott Deitz is a third generation member of 
20Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 101; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Scott Deitz married Marcy on September 15, 2016;

1he  has three stepdaughters, Jennifer Weirich, Zoe Morehead, 
2and Lexi Koch and one son-in-law, Nikolas Morehead; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Scott Deitz hopes to enjoy his retirement on the 
4property they have on Bull Shoals Lake,
boating and fishing, 
5as well as traveling to see his family and friends; therefore, 
6be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Scott Deitz on his retirement from Plumbers & 
10Pipefitters Local 101, and we wish him the best in all his 
11future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Scott Deitz as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
