HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to thank Jack Reid for his devotion to 
4public service and for strengthening the Labor Movement; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, After graduating from the University of Illinois 
6in Springfield, Jack Reid began working in the Sangamon County 
7Clerk's Office; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jack Reid continued his work in public service by 
9taking a job with Illinois Attorney General Neil Hartigan, 
10where he served as the Director of Legislative Affairs and 
11worked on the advance team; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, From 1991 to 1994, Jack Reid worked for Illinois 
13Treasurer Pat Quinn as Director of Legislative Affairs and 
14served on the advance team; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, In January of 1995, Jack Reid became the 
16Legislative Director for the Laborers' Union Midwest Region; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, From May of 2002 to December of 2014, Jack Reid 
19served as the Regional Manager of the Laborers' International 
20Union of North America; and

1    WHEREAS, In January of 2015, Jack Reid became the Director 
2of Government Relations for Ullico, Inc; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate Jack Reid on the occasion of his retirement 
6from Ullico, Inc, and we commend his long career in public 
7service; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Jack Reid as an expression of our esteem and 
10respect.
