| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Associate Judges Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 2.6 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (705 ILCS 45/2.6 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 2.6. Additional associate judges; 5th circuit. In |
| 8 | | addition to the number of associate judges authorized under |
| 9 | | Sections 2 and 2.1 of this Act, there shall be 3 additional |
| 10 | | associate judges appointed in the 5th circuit.
