Doris Turner 1/10/2023SenateSession Sine Die 65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-4.3 newAmends the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act of the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a municipality shall, within 30 days of adoption of an ordinance establishing a redevelopment project area, create an economic and community development commission. Provides for each commission to consist of 9 members appointed by the mayor of the municipality and members appointed by school districts, county boards, park districts, townships, community college boards, water reclamation districts or sanitary districts, and other taxing districts within the redevelopment project area. Provides that each commission shall review and approve the use of all funds from the special tax allocation fund for redevelopment projects and, if the members of the commission disagree, the majority opinion shall be understood as the commission's approval or denial of the use of such funds. 1/21/2022SenateFiled with Secretary by Sen.
