<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>20 ILCS 2310/2310-431 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department of Public Health to provide by rule for the statewide distribution, for use by the general public, of a scientifically valid test that determines whether a person has contracted an infectious disease. Provides that the rules shall include a State-level application process for test developers seeking statewide distribution of a test and shall require a test developer to provide independent scientific testing demonstrating the efficacy and safety of the test in order to allow it for public use within the State. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
