Provides that, during the week of Veterans Day each year, food for human consumption that is to be consumed off the premises where it is sold as well as prescription and nonprescription medications and certain medical appliances are exempt from the tax imposed under the Acts if the item is purchased by a veteran. Provides that the tax imposed on other merchandise is imposed at the rate of 5% during the same period if the item is purchased by a veteran. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
