<reference>65 ILCS 5/11-1-15 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that, in a police department in a municipality with a population over 1,000,000 inhabitants, police officers assigned to one of the 5 precincts with the fewest officers assigned may not be transferred or reassigned to another precinct, including temporary reassignments, unless an equal or greater number of police officers are transferred or assigned to the precinct from which the officer was transferred or reassigned to replace the leaving officer. Limits home rule powers. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
